Written and Video Preview for Episode 15 of Flower Boy Next Door
I have seen much hatred and frustration on Dokmi that I wonder if we watched the same drama or understand the characters/situations… Finally Koala has put in to words
I can’t believe we’re almost at the final week of Flower Boy Next Door. I wonder if tvN will continue with the Flower Boy series and keep tapping the well since it doesn’t feel dry in the least. There will always be a market for the youth drama, and I actually don’t feel like FBND is all that young in its thematic narrative. There are funny asides and some amusing characters, but the issues being tackled are substantive enough to add adult contemplation to the mix. Now that Dok Mi and Enrique like each other, the more important thing is what they are going to do about it. I have to make clear the misconception at the end of episode 14 that Dok Mi set up the scene for Enrique to overhear her declaration that she liked Jin Rok. She didn’t.It was two issues dovetailing – her wanting to tell Do Hwi to stop bothering Jin Rok, and her asking Jin Rok the night before to help her convince Enrique to go back.
Dok Mi didn’t realize that Enrique would be there, and then Jin Rok took the initiative and went with the misunderstanding because he remembered what she asked of him before and thought this was a good way to go about it. So I guess its noble idiocy by way of a fortuitous encounter? I don’t doubt Dok Mi is the type to go all noble idiot, but I don’t think Enrique is the type to fall for it. I think he will go back to Spain because she will convince him that they can be apart and still stay together as a couple. That the time apart will be good for both of their lives and careers, and they can build on this very precious relationship they have discovered with each other. I don’t mind some angst, even in the form of misunderstandings, but I hope the OTP continue to communicate candidly with each other in the process. I’ve grown to truly love and cherish this little drama and all the good and not-so-good characters in it. It’ll be a bittersweet feeling to bid farewell to it next week.

Love – sometimes it’s a very long road to walk.
Dok Mi, who wants Enrique to return to Spain, and Enrique, who cannot leave Dok Mi behind, the two of them are at odds with each other. Enrique usually chases after Dok Mi, and Dok Mi usually runs away from Enrique, but now their situations are reversed………
Enrique: All I can see is a woman called Go Dok Mi. I don’t care about anything else.
Dok Mi: I will admit that I was jealous. Are you going to be like this?
Jin Rok: Even lying you still can’t do this?
Dok Mi: Look into your heart, KaeGeum, because it might not be love. Don’t turn me into a pathetic person so stop now for good.

E tells Jin: all I can see right now is the woman Go dokmi – I cant think of others
D goes over to E’s home and does the same cute things he did to get her attention
D: I will admit it – I was jealous
D: are you really going to be like this
D pulls her hand away from Jin. Jin: even as a lie (you told with me), you really cant do it no matter what huh? (meaning like him)
E and D both close their curtains so they cant see each other
D: look inside your heart kaegeum shi – it might not be love. dont make me pitiful/pathetic - stop it now for real

D says to E: If you want to leave promise you will say you want to leave. E: dont tell me to leave – i can never keep that promise.
he puts her hand in his pocket as they walk away together
E: My fans dont know what I really like (he points his finger at her meaning I really like you) - you are going to wait for me right? she nods yes
Jin asks: do you really have the confidence not to regret?
(E has grown up hair –slicked back) his fans protest with signs
E: if it’s like right now – I cant be apart from her even for a day
Jin says to D: whatever you decide dokmi shi- E wont change
D says to Jin: will you help me so he can leave.

drunk DH yells for D to hurry and come outside
E says to D: nothing will be settled cuz you avoid - I will be my your side- just trust me
D cries and confronts DH
E hugs D and says: you just keep liking me like now ajumma. then I will like you more, more, and more.

Jin tells D that E’s condition is severe
D says to E: If you just went back, this (accident) wouldn’t have happened to you. I am sorry
D tells Jin – it would be nice if you stopped now
Jin says to E: taking Dokmi shi back to you was the last thing
E: I will stop here – I will disappear (for you). D cries and says I like you. E: I can hear it again – the sound in your heart ajumma. They kiss.

D says to E: I will think of you often. Go well. She goes home and cries
S: Can you leave
Jin says to D: like now - all you have to do is just stay there (in her home)
E: I promised I wouldnt butt in
D: when was it
Jin accuses E: when did you know this heart - that you started to like D? since when did you know?
D was hospitalized and Jin sits by her bedside while E stands by the doorway

D is looking for E across the way at TJ’s home
E hides outside and calls out ajumma and scares D
E comes and rings her doorbell again so D kicks him
E: you saw me as that kind of guy? how can you think that of me?
DH kisses Jin. Jin: I’m sorry if I made you misunderstand. I have someone I like.
S gives him two tickets and says I want to leave now – let’s go together.
E tries to explain that D doesn’t like him and uses a word I don’t know. I think it might be a word that means conscience – something that bugs her.
E: to Dokmi shi i am just (*). Jin says Don’t even have that (*)

dong explains to DH that there is a rivalry/animosity between the two people that went up to the roof that 420 doesnt know about
DH: So that’s why D likes him
E: I love you go dokmi shi
Jin: Did you confess to her by any chance
Jin meets with some men in suits and says I will contact you again so dont contact me first
E chases someone and says you chose the wrong person. he tackles the guy. (I think it’s the guy who has been vandalizing his poster photos)
D says to E: I did it cuz I know the truth -cuz I know your truth kaegeum shi. She holds his arm and says – stop now. Jin watched all that
